If you were watching the Grammy’s on Sunday night you may have caught the trailer for Disney’s newest childhood movie turned nightmare. “Maleficent,” staring Angelina Jolie as the evil queen herself features “Once Upon A Dream.” This classic song has been…
While I’m sitting at my desk during my 1 hour lunch break, after many years of being trained to eat you’re meal before you even sit down, I have 40 minutes left to share my new obsession with you.
As I was completing this weeks ADDs for CMJ I came across…
My gift to you, this awesome Christmas playlist
‘Tis the season for shitty fruit cake and spending all of your money on other people. I personally…
This new song entitled, “Thank You,” from Busta ft. Lil Wayne, Kanye, and Q Tip from TCQ is killin’ it right now and I’m just felling it! That collabo is ridiculous. Love the sample and anything with Q in it, I’m biased. Give it a listen, vibe to it, do…
I don’t normally make these kinds of posts but rough weeks call for a pick me up and I just thought this was the cutest damn thing I’ve ever seen in my life. Watch it, watch it again, say aww, and remind yourself why you don’t have children…because they…
Caroline Smith Interview
This week I spoke to Caroline Smith about her new album Half About Being A Womanand her life. I’ve…
Check out this new track from Eminem and Rihanna called “Monster.” I believe it’s the first collab the two did together since “Love The Way You Lie” and both of their styles have change so much since then.
Eminem is going back to the “Slim Shady” flow on this track making all those weird voices he used to do back before he rapped 51 mph.
Both the artists are probably clinically insane so they make a good match working together. The song is about how they are both crazy and they’re okay with it, really… that’s one of the lines.
Not much of a change lyrically from the pro-abuse Ri was promoting in the 2010 single with Em or her song “S & M” which is equally masochistic.
Nonetheless, these tunes are all catchy and you’ll be sick of this one in 3 months or less, guaranteed or you money back. Just kidding, no one buys music anymore.
This week there are tons of great new release. Dresses’ new album Sun Shy is officially available for your ears, not just mine in radio land. Check it out, it’s fantastical.
Also adding this week are Corsicana Lemonade by White Denim and Get There by Minor Alps.
AND…Drum roll please……. REFLEKTOR!!! *crowd cheers* The new album from Arcade Fire. Waiting to hit up my office later today to get the physical and hear this bad boy, but I am amped. It even got a niner on Pitchfork. Chicka what?
"Blew My Mind"
"Back To Life"
"Tell A Lie"
"At Night In Dreams"
"New Blue Feeling"
"Waiting For You"
"I Don’t Know What To Do With My Hands"
The whole thing.
So Tori Kelly has been getting millions of views on youtube for her covers and original songs and I am in love with her voice! 7 million on this bad boy alone:
She has an amazing range and looks like the love child of Mario Lopez and Olivia Newton-John circa Grease. How could that be a bad thing?
Tori has been recognized by Billboard and just performed her iTunes featured song of the week, ‘Dear No One’ on Ellen.
You can check out Kelly’s other videos like her cover of Frank Ocean’s ‘Thinkin Bout You' at Youtube.com/ToriKelly and buy her album Foreword on iTunes.
If you want a song to make you happy as you go pumpkin picking this fall season, play this on blast during your hay ride, drink some hot cider, and call it a successful day.
